Teen Couple's 'Intimate' Photos Posted Online

Half a dozen charges, including distributing child pornography, have been laid against an 18-year-old St. Thomas man after intimate photos of a teenage couple ended up on Facebook.

London police say the pictures of a boy and girl, both under the age of 16, were posted to the social media platform and shared with almost 800 people. The accused allegedly logged into one of the victim's accounts without permission in early September and published the photos online.

Investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit searched a home on Fairmount Ave. last Friday in connection to the case.

An 18-year-old man from St. Thomas was arrested Monday. He is charged with two counts of distributing child pornography, two counts of publishing intimate image without consent, mischief and obstruction of computer data, and possessing and using a computer password to commit an indictable offence.

The man's name is not being released as it could potentially identify the victims.
