Lightning Top The Edge 116-103

The London Lightning defeated the St. John’s Edge 116-103 at Budweiser Gardens on Thursday.

At the end of the first quarter, the Edge held a 34-27 lead over the Lightning, but London was able to bridge the gap in the second frame to only trail St. John's by one point heading into halftime.

London was able to make a comeback in the second half and take an 86-74 lead at the end of the third. The Lightning continued to gain momentum in the final frame to increase their lead to win with a 13-point advantage.

Kyle Johnson led London with 25 points and three rebounds, while Garrett Williamson and Ryan Anderson both put up 17 points apiece.

The Lightning will take on the KW Titans next on Sunday. Tip-off is at 2pm in London.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
