Knights Trample Over Rangers 6-2

The London Knights topped the Kitchener Rangers 6-2 in OHL action on Friday.

The Knights scored a 1-0 lead in the first period thanks to an early goal by Liam Foudym, but the Rangers tied things up by scoring the only goal of the second.

Alex Formenton scored 47 seconds into the third, but again the Rangers tied things up by scoring minutes later. The Knights gained their momentum after that with both Jacob Golden and Evan Bouchard scoring to make it 4-2.  Josh Nelson added another the Knights with four minutes left in the game and Bouchard scored his second of the night less than a minute later to cap off the win.

Knights goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 32 saves out of 34 shots on net.

The Knights will head to Erie on Saturday to take on the Otters. The puck drops at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
