Woman Charged With Aggravated Assault

A 25-year-old North Middlesex woman is facing assault charges.

Ontario Provincial Police in Middlesex County say officers were called to a home in Parkhill around 7am Sunday. Police had originally received a complaint about a man suffering from injuries caused by an edge weapon.

It turned out that the male and female were involved in an argument in the home.

The 27-year-old man went to hospital and is being treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The woman has been charged with aggravated assault. Police say the two knew each other but did not say how. The pair did not cohabitate in the home.

The suspect's name has not been released. She is being held and will appear in London court Monday.

Anyone with information on this incident who has not already spoken to investigators should call their local police, or the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be phoned into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submitted online.
