Driver Busted Doing 121km/h In London

A 25-year-old London man has had his vehicle impounded after police clocked a car going 71 km/h through a north-end neighbourhood.

London police said the vehicle was travelling at 121 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone when officers pulled it over on Sarnia Rd. at Coombs Ave. just before noon on Sunday.

"Driving at speeds in that excess is not only dangerous for the individual operating the motor vehicle but everyone around him or her as well," said Constable Sandasha Bough.

The driver, a 25-year-old London man, is charged with stunt driving and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days. If convicted he could face a fine of $2,000 to $10,000 and the loss of seven demerit points.
