Flooding in Harris Park, February 21, 2018. (Photo by Miranda Chant, Blackburn News) Water levels on the Thames River and its tributaries are receding enough for the Upper Thames Conservation Authority to call off the flood warning, however, a flood watch remains in effect.
Water levels are expected to continue to recede to normal levels over the weekend, and only a little precipitation is in the forecast.
The authority says water in floodplains and low lying areas is still very dangerous, and everyone is being warned to stay away from it.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
