Lightning Hold Off River Lions 106-98

All of London's starters hit double-digits in scoring in the Lightning's 106-98 win over the Niagara River Lions Sunday afternoon.

The game at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines was the 20th win for the Lightning this season. They currently have the best record in the NBLC.

The game was close for much of the first half, though London pulled away before halftime and held a 56-47 lead at the intermission. The River Lions roared back offensively in the third quarter, but the Lightning matched them in the fourth quarter and held on to take the win.

Garrett Williamson and Royce White were the co-leaders in offence for the Lightning, scoring 18 points each. Ryan Anderson put in 17, while Julian Boyd scored the same amount off the bench.

White also led the team in rebounds with 14 for a double-double.

Guillaume Boucard led the River Lions with 15 points and seven rebounds. Kris Joseph and Dwayne Smith each contributed 14 points.

The Lightning's next contest is Friday, when they take on the rival Windsor Express at the WFCU Centre.
