High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Police are asking for the public's help to find a missing 28-year-old man in the St. Thomas area.
The St. Thomas Police Service says Brandon Burtch went missing on Tuesday and was last seen in St. Thomas.
Police have concerns for his well being.
Burtch is described as 5’10″, 140 lbs, with a thin build, brown/orange hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing white pants with blue stripes, a grey fleece hoodie with red lettering on the front, and black shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Burtch's whereabouts is asked to contact police at (519) 631-1364.
