Riptide Washes Away Lightning 109-102

The London Lightning fell 109-102 to the Saint John Riptide in NBLC action on Monday.

The Lighting tied things up 25-25 by the end of the first quarter, but Saint John took a 54-44 heading into halftime. London was still down 81-73 in third, and they were able to come within five points in the final frame, but it wasn't enough to surpass the Riptide.

Royce White scored a game-high 29 points for London and had six rebounds, while Garrett Williamson put up another 19 points and three rebounds.

The Lightning are on the road again on Saturday to take on the St. John's Edge at 5:30pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
