Lightning Drop Game 2 To Hurricanes

The London Lightning now trail the Halifax Hurricanes 2-0 in the NBLC Championship Finals following a 100-91 Game 2 loss on Tuesday.

The Lightning were down three points at the end of the first quarter, but they were able to tie the game 41-41 going into halftime.  However, Halifax fought back in the third to take a 70-61 lead and was able to score the win with a solid finish in the fourth quarter.

Garrett Williamson led London with 21 points and five rebounds, while Julian Boyd added 18 points and 14 rebounds. Mo Bolden and Doug Herring Jr. put up 12 points each.

The series will now shift to London at Budweiser Gardens for Game 3 on Thursday at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
