Norfolk County OPP are investigating after a woman was killed in a car crash Friday night.
OPP, Norfolk County Fire and Rescue Services, and paramedics responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles on Friday at around 9:34pm.
Through investigation, police determined that a green vehicle was travelling westbound on McDowell Rd. E. in Simcoe. A silver vehicle was travelling eastbound when the driver left the roadway, over corrected, and entered the westbound lane where both vehicles collided.
The driver of the green vehicle was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. A teenage male passenger in the silver vehicle was air lifted to a Hamilton hospital with serous non-life threatening injures. The female driver of the silver vehicle suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have identified the driver as Kerri Bolt, 41, of Norfolk County.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
