Geese Run Down In Norfolk

Norfolk OPP are investigating after a goose and its goslings were mowed down by a pickup truck in Simcoe.

A concerned citizen called police after witnessing the callous act around 6:43am on Monday. Police have said a white pickup truck with personalized licence plates was on Norfolk St. North when it encountered the family of geese.

"The driver of the vehicle made no attempts to slow down or stop for a family of geese and goslings that were crossing the roadway," said police.

After hitting the geese the vehicle continued on.

Police, who have the licence plate number of the suspect vehicle, intend to follow up with the owner.
