London police say one person is being treated for non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in the city's northeast end.

Officers responded to the area of Huron St. and Sandford St. just after 10pm Tuesday after receiving reports of a possible shooting there.

Once they arrived, police found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.

Police say at this point, no arrests have been made and the firearm has not been recovered.

Investigators do not believe that the shooting was a random act and say the Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation.
