Man Arrested After Old East Village Incident

London police say a man is in custody following an incident on Charlotte St.

Officers say they went to a home near Princess Ave. in the Old East Village to arrest a man. The man was reportedly uncooperative and refused to leave the house.

He eventually left the home and was taken by police to a hospital for assessment.

Police had asked the public to stay away from the area of Princess Ave. to Dundas St., Dorinda St. to Quebec St.

Residents were allowed to return to the area after about two hours.

No further details have been released.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to give them a call at (519) 661-5670, or to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
