Knife Pulled During Family Dispute

A London man is facing charges after allegedly pulling a knife and making threats during a spat with family northwest of Meaford.

Grey County OPP were called to a home on Johnson Harbour Rd. in the Municipality of Meaford around 11:30am Tuesday.

According to police, what had started as a family dispute took a violent turn when a man pulled out a knife and threatened a 54-year-old man.

A 24-year-old man from London was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and one count of assault with a weapon.

He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on July 5.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
