Vehicle Hit By Bullet

Police are investigating after a vehicle was hit by a bullet on the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

A driver called police after their vehicle was struck by gunfire on Fairgrounds Rd. around 10pm on Tuesday. Oneida Nation of the Thames Police Service and Middlesex OPP determined the vehicle had been hit by a projectile, which caused a flat tire.

While it is considered an isolated incident, police are reminding the public to always be aware of their personal safety and to report any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
