Stranger Seen Handing Out Treats To School Kids

For the second time in less than a week, London police are investigating reports of a man handing out treats to children outside of a public school.

London police were called after a stranger was spotted giving out freezies to kids at Aberdeen Public School on Grey St. around 11:50am on Tuesday.

The incident is similar to one at the same school last Wednesday where a man was seen offering kids candy through a fence. A number of the children ate the candy but there have been no associated illnesses reported.

"While providing food or items to children is not criminal in nature, it has caused concern to staff and parents of the children at the school, and police are looking to speak with the male involved," said Constable Sandasha Bough in a statement.

The man is described as Caucasian, 50-years-old, wearing multiple hats at one time - possibly a cowboy hat. He also had on cargo shorts, long grey socks, and was carrying a backpack and a grocery bag. The man was last seen walking westbound from the school.

Police are again reminding parents to talk to their children about personal safety.
