Guns Seized From East London Home

A London man is facing several firearms charges after a police search of an east-end home turned up two rifles and a shotgun.

London police raided a home on Gramercy Park Place, near Highbury Ave. on Wednesday.

Officers seized a loaded Winchester .22 calibre bolt action rifle, a 12-gauge bolt action sawed-off shotgun, a .303 rifle, and two rounds of .22 calibre ammunition.

A 32-year-old London man is charged with ten offences including possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and possession of a loaded firearm. He is scheduled to appear in London court to answer to the charges Wednesday afternoon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
