Police Investigating Stabbing

Police say a man who tried to stop a fight in downtown London was stabbed in the stomach for his troubles.

Emergency crews were called to a parking lot at Richmond St. and John St. around 2am Friday.

"The investigation has revealed the victim attempted to intervene a dispute between the suspects and two other individuals when the suspects turned on him, punched and stabbed him in the stomach area," police said in a release issued Friday afternoon.

The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Three men were arrested at the scene but were later released without charges.
