Charges Laid In Bank Robbery

London police say a St. Thomas man is charged in connection with a bank robbery in the east end.

Around 2:15pm Monday, a man robbed the Scotiabank at 950 Hamilton Rd. No weapon was seen and no injuries were reported.

Police arrested a suspect a short distance away. According to police, he was in a vehicle that had stolen licence plates.

David Alway, 60, is charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by crime.
