Charges Laid In Ingersoll Stabbing

An 18-year-old Ingersoll man is charged after a stabbing on the long weekend.

Oxford OPP were called to a disturbance on Union St. near Bell St. in Ingersoll on Sunday around 12:30am. When they arrived, officers found a man in medical distress. He was taken to hospital with several non-life threatening stab wounds. Police say the man was treated and has since been released.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is charged with aggravated assault.
