Crash Leads To Loaded Gun Seizure

London police say a man faces charges after a van crashed into a veterinary clinic and police found a loaded gun in the vehicle.

Police were called around 3:50am Wednesday after a Mazda van hit a vet clinic in the area of Adelaide St. N and Central Ave. According to police, the vehicle left the scene, heading south on Adelaide. Officers located the vehicle and arrested a suspect in the area of Adelaide St. and King St.

When they searched the van, police say they found a loaded handgun and suspected crystal methamphetamine.

A 37-year-old man faces seven charges, including possession of a firearm while prohibited, occupying a vehicle with a firearm, impaired driving, and possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
