No Charges In Tragic Death Of Toddler At Pinery

Lambton OPP say no charges are being laid in a tragic incident that saw a 3-year-old girl struck and killed by a pickup truck in Pinery Provincial Park.

Police say on August 4, a 39-year-old man from East York, Ontario was trying to make a U-turn in the park when the child, also from East York, was hit.

Pedestrians nearby tried to provide medical help until EMS arrived, but the toddler was pronounced dead later at hospital.

The OPP say the investigation has concluded and the name of the child and driver will not be released to help the extremely distraught family in the grieving process.
