Injuries In Serious Oxford County Crash

Ontario Provincial Police say several people are hurt after a crash in Oxford County.

It happened shortly after 3:30pm Friday at Oxford Rd. 4 and Township Rd. 3 in Blandford-Blenheim Township. Two vehicles are involved, both of them four-door sedans.

One of the drivers, an adult female, was extricated from her vehicle and transported by Ornge air ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. It was not immediately known if those injuries are life-threatening.

OPP Constable Stacey Culbert says the other driver and the passengers from each vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The following road closures were in effect while investigators continue to determine what happened:

  • Oxford Rd. 4 at Township Rd. 4
  • Oxford Rd. 4 at Devonshire Avenue
  • Oxford Rd. 4 at Oxford Rd. 17
  • Township Rd. 3 at Blandford Rd.
  • Lansdowne Ave. at Halifax Rd.
The area was reopened to traffic around 11:30pm Friday.

The Woodstock Fire Department, Woodstock Police Service, and Oxford County Paramedics assisted the OPP at the scene.
