London man nabbed in child pornography bust

London police discovered more than 100 images of child sexual abuse on a computer seized during a raid Thursday.

Officers with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit, with the help of the Digital Forensic Unit, searched a home on Dufferin Avenue. Police seized a computer inside the residence, which contained more than 100 images of suspected child pornography.

Michael Baarda, 37, of London was arrested. He is charged with two counts of unlawfully possessing child pornography, unlawfully accessing child pornography, and importing, selling, and distributing child pornography.

Baarda is scheduled to appear in London court to answer to the charges on October 22.
