Suspicious vehicle fire under investigation

London police are investigating after a vehicle burned in a Hamilton Road driveway.

Police were called to a home on Hamilton Road around 4 a.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived, black smoke was seen coming from a burning vehicle in the driveway. The flames were put out and no injuries were reported.

According to police, the fire is "suspicious in nature." The investigation is now being handled by the Street Crime Unit.

The damage was estimated to be approximately $31,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
