Man charged in casino winnings robbery

Three weeks after a man was robbed of his casino winnings at gunpoint, London police have made an arrest.

The victim was at the Western Fair slots where he won a large sum of money around 3 p.m. on August 25. He met another man at the casino and went for a drive in the other man's vehicle.

According to police, the second man pulled out a gun while inside the vehicle and stole the victim's cash prize. No one was hurt during the robbery.

A 39-year-old London man is charged with armed robbery. He is scheduled to appear in London court on October 30.

Police are now reminding Londoners to always be discreet with cash whenever in a public place.
