Two men arrested, third sought in shooting death

Two men have been arrested in relation to last week's shooting death of a 21-year-old man outside of an east-end Tim Hortons.

Abel Tesfalem, 19, was arrested Monday afternoon, while Joseph Sibo, 19, was nabbed by London police on Saturday. Both men are charged with being an occupant in a motor vehicle with a firearm.

A third suspect, Zachary McDermott, 18, is still on the run. He is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder by discharging a firearm. An arrest warrant for McDermott was issued on Friday.

Christopher Clements-Card died in hospital shortly after he was shot in a targeted attack in the Tim Hortons parking lot at 2094 Dundas St. around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Another person who was with Clements-Card was not physically hurt.

The firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered, police have said.

McDermott is described as Caucasian, approximately 5’9” with a slim build, and reddish-blond hair that is cut shorter on the sides. Anyone who knows where the 18-year-old murder suspect may be is advised not to approach him but to call 911 immediately.

The incident is London's fifth homicide of 2018.
