Police seek sex assault suspect

London police are turning to the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with a downtown sexual assault.

A woman told police she was walking with a friend on Richmond St. near Piccadilly St. around 3 a.m. on Sunday when she was approached by a man she didn't know. The man proceeded to touch her inappropriately.

Police have now released a photo of a suspect. He is described as being between 5’7” – 5’10”, with an average build and a full beard. He was wearing a black t-shirt, orange turban, and camouflaged pants.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
