One dead in Norfolk County crash

Provincial police in Norfolk County say a single vehicle crash has claimed the life of a driver.

Police, fire crews, and ambulance crews were called to Highway 24 between West Charlotteville Road Quarterline Road and Forestry Farm Road around 7:23 a.m. Friday. According to Norfolk OPP, a westbound vehicle went out of control, left the road, hit a culvert, went airborne, and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver, an adult male, was killed.

Police expect Highway 24 in that area will be closed until about 3 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
