Pedestrian suffers life threatening injuries

A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in St. Thomas is fighting for his life in hospital.

According to police, the man was hit around 8:15 a.m. Friday as he crossed Curtis Street at St. George Street. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. He wasn't carrying any identification and police released a description of him, hoping that someone would be able to tell theme who he is. Police later announced that the man had been identified and his family had been notified of the incident.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with any information to call St. Thomas police at 519-631-1224.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
