London pets the most pampered in Canada: Amazon

When it comes to pet pampering, Londoners are leading the charge.

According to sales data collected by Amazon Canada between August 2017 and August 2018, Londoners spent more money per capita on their furry, feathered, and scaly friends than those in any other Canadian city.

The retail giant gathered the information for its list of top 20 pet-pampering Canadian cities based on products purchased from its website for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals. Only cities with more than 100,000 residents were considered for the ranking.

This is the sixth year Amazon has compiled the list and the first time London has taken the number one spot. Calgary and Vancouver came in second and third.

London's rise to the top comes a year after ranking fourth on the list.
