Planned highway 402/401 closures, reductions near London

A full eastbound closure of Highway 402 and reduced lanes on Highway 401 are planned, weather permitting, as we near the long Thanksgiving Day weekend.

The Ministry of Transportation says it's for bridge maintenance operations on the Dingman Drive underpass near the junction of the two 400 series highways in London.

The westbound 401 is to be reduced to traffic from 6 p.m. Wednesday (October 3) until 6 a.m. on Thursday.

The eastbound 401 lanes will be reduced, and the eastbound lanes of Highway 402 will be fully closed, from Thursday (October 4) at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday.

Highway 402 eastbound traffic will be rerouted south to the Highway 401 and Highway 4 interchange to allow access to the eastbound 401.

Delays are expected.
