Three charged in cocaine bust

Three Londoners are facing drug-related charges after police searched three homes and two vehicles in the city.

Members of the guns and drugs section, which is made up of officers from London police, the OPP, and the RCMP, searched the homes on Singleton Avenue, Wonderland Road South and Viscount Road, as well as the two vehicles on Tuesday. They found 83 grams of cocaine, 0.5 grams of cannabis resin, approximately $10,000 in cash, and $20,000 worth of jewellery.

A 28-year-old London man is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a Schedule II substance.

A 31-year-old man and 27-year-old woman are charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

All three are scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on November 16.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
