Building manager charged in apartment break-ins

London police say charges have been laid against a building manager accused of breaking into tenants' apartments over a four-month period.

Police say there were about a dozen break-ins between May 28 and September 17 at the same Commissioners Road East apartment building. It's alleged the suspect would wait for the residents to leave before using a master key to get into their units.

Just over $51,000 in cash and jewellery was taken from the apartments.

A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested Tuesday. The man is now charged with 12 counts of breaking and entering. The woman is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
