Motorcycle rider killed in crash with SUV

A motorcycle rider has died after a collision south of Tillsonburg.

The collision happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Thursday on Norfolk County Road 30. Investigators have determined that a southbound motorcycle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a northbound SUV. The motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike and then hit a tree. The 38-year-old man from Tillsonburg was rushed to hospital, but later died from his injuries.

The driver of the SUV, which rolled on its side and ended up in the ditch, suffered minor injuries.

Norfolk County Road 30 between Goshen Road and Plowman's Line was closed for approximately five hours to allow for further investigation.

The investigation is continuing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
