London man hospitalized after fight

A London man is fighting for his life after an argument turned physical early Sunday morning.

London police say the incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. Officers were called to the area of Talbot St. and King St. in the downtown area on a report of a fight. Two men started arguing, then throwing punches, resulting in a 26-year-old man receiving serious, life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to Victoria Hospital where his condition remains the same.

A 28-year-old London man is charged with aggravated assault and is expected to answer to the charge in court on Monday.

Police have not released the names of the two men. They would like to remind the public to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and if you see something, say something. Anyone with information should call London police at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
