Man charged after Glock, gun parts seized

London police say a man is facing charges after officers seized a firearm and various gun parts.

The London police guns and drugs section raided a home on Shelborne Street and a self-storage facility in central London on Wednesday. They seized a Glock 9mm handgun, two over-capacity magazines, and various handgun parts. The raids happened after police were notified by the Canadian Border Services Agency about suspicious packages destined for two addresses in London.

Derek Denesevich, 30, of London, is charged with possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm, two counts of possession of a prohibited device, importation without being authorized to do so, and conspiring with another person to commit the indictable offence of importation of a restricted/prohibited firearm.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
