Two charged in fentanyl, meth bust

Two people are facing charges after officers seized more of the deadly drug fentanyl.

Officers with the Guns and Drugs unit arrested a woman in the area of Hamilton Road and Egerton Street on Friday. She was wanted on warrants by St. Thomas police. Officers also arrested a London man.

As a result of the arrests, officers seized seven grams of fentanyl, 17 grams of methamphetamine, three Dilaudid pills, and approximately $7,000 in cash. Police say the value of the drugs was over $5,000. Officers also seized scales, packaging, and a cell phone.

A 40-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man are both charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
