The 28-year-old London man, wanted in relation to a shooting at an east-end public-housing complex, has turned himself in to police.
Jason Richard Borden surrendered Tuesday morning at London police headquarters on Dundas Street. He is charged with eight offences including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, possession of a loaded firearm, and carelessly using a firearm.
The charges stem from a shooting in the parking lot of 216 Marconi Blvd. just before 4 a.m. on Sunday. A man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot during a dispute with another man, who took off before officers arrived.
Police later issued an arrest warrant for Borden. No weapon has been recovered in connection with the case.
Borden is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Sunday's shooting is the third gun-related incident at the Marconi Blvd. housing complex this year. In March, the front door window of one of the townhouses in the complex was blown out by gunfire during a dispute between two men. A 29-year-old London man was charged days later. Earlier this month, a police officer fired his weapon during an interaction with a man involving a stolen vehicle.
