Man critical after vehicle hits house

A man was seriously hurt when a vehicle hit the front porch of a home in Tillsonburg over the weekend.

According to Oxford OPP, a four-door sedan was heading west on Baldwin St., just west of Quarter Town Line when it left the roadway, drove onto the sidewalk and collided with the front of a house around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday.

The driver of the vehicle had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. Two other people in the vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries. No one inside the home was hurt.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
