Knights goaltender added to Team OHL

Jordan Kooy, goaltender for the London Knights, has been added to the OHL team for the 2018 CIBC Canada Russia series.

Kooy replaces an injured player for Game 4, Nov. 12 in Oshawa.

The 18-year-old goaltender is currently ranked second in the league for goals-against-average and save percentage.

Originally from Bradford, Ont., this is Kooy's third season with the Knights. He is also a Vegas Golden Knights prospect after being called in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL draft.

Two other Knights players, Alex Formenton and Liam Foudy, are also playing in the six-game series.

Meantime, another high honour for a Knights goaltender.

Chatham-native Joseph Raaymakers was named the CHL's goaltender of the week after posting two wins and a goals-against-average of 1.02 and save percentage of .965 last week -- one of those wins was a shutout.
