OPP look into death of Tillsonburg man

Ontario Provincial Police in Oxford County are investigating the death of a Tillsonburg man.

Officers responded to a call around 10:30 a.m. Sunday on a report of a suspected deceased individual just north of Fourth St. in Tillsonburg. Paramedics from Oxford County EMS also responded to the call.

The 53-year-old man was soon pronounced deceased. The OPP's Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner have been brought in to investigate, according to OPP Constable Adam Crewdson.

The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature and a post-mortem is scheduled. The man has not been identified pending the notification of loved ones and no further information has been released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
