'No one believed us': Granton couple wins $9.6M

Granton's newest millionaires are calling their $9.6-million lotto win "unbelievable."

Dianne and Clinton Eeley won the jackpot in the Lotto 6/49 draw on November 3. The couple bought their ticket at the Petro Canada on Dundas St. in London, but didn't get around to checking it until one week after the draw.

“I couldn’t believe it," said Dianne, 56. “Clint found out a couple hours later, and no one believed us.”

The couple, who have three kids and six grandchildren, own and operate an HVAC business. They plan on investing the money back into that business, while also paying off their mortgage and sharing with family.

“It’s unbelievable – it’s hard to comprehend the feeling," said Clint, 57.
