Snowstorm expected to blanket London area

A snowstorm is on the way that could make the roads white and slippery just ahead of the weekend.

Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for London, Parkhill, Strathroy, and Middlesex County as forecasters track a low-pressure system that is expected to move into southern Ontario Thursday afternoon.

At this point, they're expecting 5-10 centimetres of snow to blanket the region with most it falling overnight. All of that snow could create poor winter driving conditions Thursday evening and again Friday morning.

The storm is expected to blow over by Friday afternoon.
