Man arrested after gun fired in Norfolk County

One person is in custody after police responded to a report of gunfire at a Norfolk County address.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Monday around 3:30 p.m., the OPP's Emergency Response Team members responded to County Line in Townsend for an emergency 911 call, after a man discharged a firearm and then returned inside a residence.

No one was injured, but police have arrested a 39-year-old Norfolk County man in connection with the incident.

An investigation is ongoing and police said charges are pending.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
