Police release photo of armed robbery suspect

One week after an east London variety store was robbed at gunpoint, police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect.

London police released a surveillance photo of the robbery on Thursday. According to investigators, a man walked into the store on Rectory Street, pulled out a black coloured handgun, and demanded cigarettes and money around 2:30 a.m. on November 15. The man pointed the gun directly at the lone store employee before taking off.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5’8” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a skeleton mask and a black coloured winter jacket with the hood up.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
