Police seek suspect in sporting goods store robbery

London police are asking for the public's help as they try to find a man who robbed a north end sporting goods store.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, a man went into the National Sports store at 1735 Richmond St. N, took several items from the shelves and tried to leave without paying for them. An employee approached the man, but according to police, the man pulled a knife and ran from the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'8" tall, between 20 and 25 years old, with a goatee or moustache, and brown hair. He was wearing a black jacket over top of a black and gold New Orleans Saints jersey.

No injuries were reported.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
