Ingersoll man identified in fatal Zorra Township crash

Police have now released the name of the man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Zorra Township over the weekend.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday at around 11 p.m., a grey coloured vehicle was travelling north on 19th Line when it left the road and entered the west ditch. The vehicle struck a hydro pole and a tree before a passenger, who was sitting in the back seat, was ejected from the vehicle.

The passenger, 21-year-old Ty Waller of Ingersoll, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.

The driver and a passenger in the front seat were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, after being extricated from the vehicle by firefighters.

Police said speed and alcohol are being considered as contributing factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
