Norfolk man identified in fatal Highway 3 crash

Provincial police have identified a 59-year-old Norfolk man as the person killed when a vehicle collided with a propane truck just west of Simcoe Tuesday.

James A. Henderson was killed when the vehicle he was driving west on Highway 3 crossed over the centre line and collided with a propane truck heading in the opposite direction around 5:52 a.m.

Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The 35-year-old Aylmer man who was driving the truck and his 39-year-old passenger were not physically hurt in the crash.

The collision closed Highway 3 between Charlotteville Road 10 and Charlotteville East Quarter Line Road for several hours.

Police have said the investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
